Making Life Easier...

This weekend I did 2 things that will make my life easier and I am very happy about both.

The first thing I did is went out Saturday and bought this for myself.

I love my Blackberry and for 1 simple reason.  I can make the font bigger so that I can read the screen Ü   As I have gotten older my eyes are giving out on me and it was so frustrating trying to see the screen and keys on my Motorola Razor.  And something else that makes me happy is that my Blackberry has a calendar with reminders.  I live and die by my Outlook calendar at work and this is very similar.

The 2nd thing that I did this weekend to make my life easier is this:

I love this purse and but it has a big middle pocket which drives me crazy and is always in the way.  I don't use it.  So I took scissors and cut it out.  I figured what the heck, it's my purse and no one else is going to use it.  And now it is the perfect purse!!!

Sometimes it's the little things that make life so much easier.  And why I wait so long to do these things is beyond me at times.  So today go out and do something to make your life easier!!

Crop Heaven....

Kendall and I attended a wonderful crop this past Saturday.  It is put on by 2 great ladies and it was so well organized and so much fun.  Here is their website Scrap Again.  Kendall won a free crop on their Facebook contest for July and we have been wanting to go to one so that was the push we needed.

I was a little leery about it only because it's about an hours drive from our house over some back roads but we made it no problem.

The room that they hold it in is in the middle of a Hotel and it had such great lighting.  Here is a picture of the room.

They also had about 7 vendor there and when you went up and visited these vendor you got a ticket to put in a drawing for prizes donated by the vendors.

This crop was really lucky for Kendall because not only did she win a seat at the crop but she also one of the drawing prizes.

I was just so impressed with this Crop and the cost was only $25.00 but for another $10.00 you could also get lunch and it was yummy!!!  And it was so nice not having to figure out where to go in a strange town.  We didn't have to leave the building, they brought lunch and then during lunch they had a few little demonstrations which was fun.

So if you are in this area of California I so recommend that you attend one of their crops.  Kendall and I will be going again in November, we are both bummed that we can't get back before then.

Any great crops in your area?  Tell me about them...

A Crazy Life

Well things have definitely been crazy at our house for the last couple of weeks.  And I for one am ready for things to get back to normal but I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

One of the biggest changes has been that I started a new job.  I've only been there for 2 days but so far so good.  I gave notice after 8 months at other  job because I just couldn't stand how crazy things were there and I don't mean in a good way.  But before I left I decided to make some cards for the ladies that I really enjoyed working with and yes I was even nice enough to make a Thank You card for the Controller who I worked for (she was the reason that I left).  I was really proud of myself, I made 3 three cards in about 2 hours.  And they all came out pretty good.  Here they are:

On top of quitting one job and starting another, we have also been having refrigeration problems.  The repair man has been here 5 times and finally figured that it was the major part of the frig and a factory specialist would have to come out to fix it.  This refrigerator is only THREE years old.  And yes you read that right - 3 years.  So the only appt. we could get was between 8 am & 5 pm (way too narrow it down GE) and I haven't been able to go grocery shopping for 2 weeks because I have no where to put cold food.  Finally DH & I had it and went and bought a new frig at Lowe's.  This was not part of my schedule.  I had given notice so that I could have 3 days off before starting the new job so that I could get things done around the house and packed for our camping trip.  That did not happen.  I spent more time waiting around for repair men then anything.   I ended up having to wait to go grocery shopping the on Thursday night and trying to pack everything so that we could leave Friday night after work.  Ugh!!!  Oh Thursday was also the 1st day of my new job.

But we got everything done and left Friday night for our 3 day weekend and had a great time!!!  Just hate when things don't go the way that I plan them.
